Nov 13 – APR Energy, provider of fast-track power solutions, has prolonged contracts for 300 megawatts in Uruguay to run through the end of the second quarter 2015. The extension adds to APR Energy's record 1,754 MW of contract renewals for the year – a success rate of over 90%.
Yokogawa Electric Corp's subsidiary, Yokogawa Electric Korea, has won an order from the Korean engineering company Hyundai Engineering & Construction to supply a control system for a 520 MW combined cycle power plant that it is building on behalf of Uruguay's national power company UTE in Punta del Tigre.
APR Energy, a global supplier of fast-track power solutions, has started commercial operation of its 200MW temporary power generation project in Uruguay, divided across two sites in La Tablada and Punta del Tigre.
Siemens Energy has won an order from Hyundai Engineering and Construction Co., to deliver two SGT5-2000E gas turbines with associated generators for the Punta del Tigre combined cycle power plant (535 MW) in Ciudad del Plata, Uruguay. The two power units are scheduled to come online in fall/winter 2015/16.
