Electricty rates from Japan’s 10 regional power utilities are set to drop for the month of October to reflect lower LNG imports prices. Tokyo Electric Power (TEPCO) announced it will reduce its standard household rate by $0.51 to $81 as of October, after its LNG import price fell to $818 per tonne in July from $821 per tonne in June.
