The Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) has published new figures showing that milder autumn weather and new capacity additions will provide a reserve margin of as much as 14 GW this year. Total capacity in the region has now risen to 75,500 MW, according to ERCOT’s final Seasonal Assessment of Resource Adequacy.
