Japan’s Tokyo Gas and Kyushu Electric Power (Kepco) have formed a company aimed at building a gas-fired power station at Sodegaura in Chiba, near Tokyo. This move comes after the two companies and Idemitsu Kosan ditched a plan in January to build a 2 GW coal-fired power station on the same site, saying it was not economically feasible.
