Germany’s Evonik and UK’s Omexom have ordered 18 of GE’s ‘Green Gas for Grid’ solutions, or ‘g³’ gas-insulated switchgear (GIS) bays for use at industrial sites. g³ is an alternative to sulphur hexafluoride (SF₆), a potent greenhouse gas, used in high-voltage equipment including switchgear.
