Indiana-headquartered Cummins is preparing to open a new factory in Herten, Germany, in July 2021, focussing on the assembly of fuel cells. With capacity of 10 MW per year, it will manufacture 1 MW of fuel cell systems a month for Alstom’s hydrogen-powered trains, called the Coradia iLint.
