Two SGT-800 gas turbines will help Stadtwerke Leipzig’s new combined heat and power (CHP) plant produce 125 MW of electrical and 163 MW of thermal output at a fuel efficiency of 93%. Commissioning of the CHP is due in late 2022, with the two turbines set to eventually run on hydrogen.
