Territory Generation, Northern Australia’s largest utility, has ordered a hydrogen capable TM2500 aeroderivative gas turbine from GE for its Channel Island Power Station near the city of Darwin. The move supports the Government’s goal of building a hydrogen industry and Northern Territory’s green energy policy, which targets 50% renewables by 2030.
