U.S. power producer Navasota Energy has announced plans to build three 543 MW peaking stations in Texas to help balance rising intermittent renewable capacity in the state. The new plants will feed into the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) network and are expected to be commissioned by spring 2017.
