In a more than half-a-billion-dollar order, the U.S. power producer Exelon has turned to GE to buy four 7HA gas turbines, two D600 steam turbines and six generators for the Wolf Hollow and Colorado Bend gas combined-cycle projects. "With 330 MW per unit, GE's 7HA gas turbines are not only the world's largest but also the most-efficient 60-hertz gas turbines with a net combined-cycle efficiency of more than 61%, as the technology deployed gives us higher power density," Guy Deleonardo, executive product manager for GE Power Generation Products told Gas to Power Journal.
