The greenfield Salalah-2 IPP project, built at a cost of SAR1.7 billion ($465million) by a consortium of Japan’s Mitsui, Saudi’s ACWA Power and Oman’s Dhofar International Development and Investment Company (DIDIC), has been running smoothly for the first four days. The consortium managed to bring the 455-MW unit online ahead of schedule.
