VW spends €400m to switch two CHPs at Wolfsburg from coal to gas

Volkswagen, Europe's biggest carmaker, has announced plans to invest €400 million to convert two coal-fired heat and power stations at its Wolfsburg car manufacturing to run on natural gas. Construction of the two gas CHP will start this year, pending permission, with the aim to get the plants commissioned in late 2021 or early 2022.
