US oil giant ExxonMobil has agreed to participate in the Acorn CCS project, designed to capture and store 5-6 million tons of CO2 per year by 2030 from gas terminals at the St Fergus complex at Peterhead. In addition, ExxonMobil will help reduce industry emissions in Scotland.
