A joint research study by the University of Canterbury, New Zealand and Università degli Studi di Ferrara, Italy promises to deliver new optimization techniques for power plant gas turbines, potentially improving efficiency by several percentage points. “Industrial implementation can be almost instant, once the reliability of the simulation models has been ascertained,” Hamid Asgari, a researcher on the project told Gas to Power Journal.
